Have A Heart

Debbie White and FamilyOne of our members, Debbie White, a mother of three children, a wife to her husband of 30 years, and a friend needs our help. She is a wonderful woman who has a deep Christian faith. Unfortunately, Debbie has been diagnosed with congestive heart failure and in 2004, had a triple bypass surgery. In the last few years, however, she has been in and out of the hospital with continued heart problems. Most recently, Debbie was evaluated at the University of Virginia Hospital where she found out that her only chance for survival is a heart transplant.

Even with insurance, transplantation is extremely expensive. There are many out-of-pocket medical expenses that insurance does not cover: co-pays and deductibles, relocation and travel expenses to and from UVA in Charlottesville, VA, and the costly anti-rejection medications Debbie will need to take for the rest of her life.

To help ease this financial burden, a fundraising campaign in Debbie’s honor has been established by the students at Heritage Free Will Baptist Church. We have asked the Lord for $70,000 by February 14, 2012. There will be several fundraising events, including direct donations. Please pray for Debbie's health as you consider making a donation on her behalf.

As the Lord leads, feel free to give through the on-line donation form.
All donations are tax-deductible.

Mother and child

"Behold, children are a heritage from the Lord, The fruit of the womb is a reward." - Psalm 127:3

At Heritage, we know that every baby a blessing and gift from the Lord. It is our pleasure to serve the needs of you and your child as we would serve Christ. We attempt to provide a comfortable and safe place for each child may feel happy and loved. The seeds of later trust in God are rooted in an early positive experience at church. We also have a video feed of the sanctuary so mothers who would like to use the nursery facilities may do so without missing the service.

Women's Ministry

Women Active for Christ

Heritage Women's Ministry is active and diverse. Women Active for Christ is an auxiliary arm of the our church and part of Women Nationally Active for Christ. We exist to help each woman fulfill the Great Commission through her God-designed roles in the home, church, community and world. Our desire is for a Bible-based, outwardly focused women’s group as we network with others in order to accomplish greater Kingdom goals. We regularly meet together for encouragement, exchange and spiritual nourishment. To fulfill the role of mentoring and discipleship, we meet weekly for Bible study and prayer. The women's ministry of Heritage encourages spiritual and relational growth through a variety of events throughout the year.New York City Trip

Where should I serve?

Prayer is vital. As you seek the Lord’s direction, he will give you wisdom to know where he wants you to fellowship. So, be sure to make prayer a priority each step along the way. If you’re not sure why it's important to find a church, check out what the Bible says about church attendance.

What are my beliefs?

It’s important to understand the doctrinal beliefs of any church before joining. Before joining be sure the church effectively teaches the Bible. At Heritage, we believe that every Scripture passage is inspired by God. Read more about our beliefs at "About Us - What We Believe."

What ministries are offered?

You want your church to be a place where you can connect with other believers. At Heritage, you will find a variety of ministries and programs for service, fellowship, and growth. Feel free to browse the "Ministries" section of our web site.
