Student Ministry
The Lord has blessed us with a variety of students at Heritage. It is important that each individual feel welcome and safe when they come to Heritage. In a world that finds fault and lifts itself up by putting others down, we encourage our students to be different.
The Heritage Student Ministry welcomes all teens in grades seven through twelve. Activities include Bible classes for Junior High and Senior High in Sunday School and on Wednesday evenings. Special events and weekend activities are scheduled on the church calendar.
Lately, our emphasis has been to minister to others... Those who are hurting, in need, who could use a friend. The video seen here is a compilation of photos from the Go10Walk event where we walked 10+ miles each as we raised money for International Missions. Other mission events include a weekend work-ministry trip to Harvest Child Care Ministries, where students from Heritage worked all day on Saturday painting and scrubbing, enjoyed a cookout, then led a worship service with children in the Children's Home. Most recently, our students raised $670 for World Vision in the 30 Hour Famine.
It's important that we prepare our students to live a life of faith where they can stand strongly, trusting in their Lord. The Bible is taught in and lived in all our activities. Students, teachers, and leaders growing together and encouraging each other is important in Heritage Student Ministries. We are looking forward to more students who are anxious to be a part of something great!
