Gladys Hodgson - Children's Ministry Teacher

Gladys Hodgson

I was born on September 8, 1938 in Glade Springs, VA. I married Karl Hodgson on November 14, 1959. We have two children and two grandsons. I was saved as an early teen. For 46 years I have worked as Nursery worker and a Sunday School Teacher. I joined Heritage Church in October of 1985. I currently teach the 4 and 5 year old class, work in Children's Church and teach children in Heritage Friends on Wednesday evenings. My hobbies are reading, talking on the phone, and I enjoy fishing with my husband.

One of my favorite Bible verses is Psalm 139:23-24:

"Search me, Oh God, And know my heart:
Try me, and know my thoughts:
And see if there be any wicked way in me,
and lead me in the way of everlasting."

It is my desire and hope, that when others look at me, they see Jesus through me. He is everything to me.

Where should I serve?

Prayer is vital. As you seek the Lord’s direction, he will give you wisdom to know where he wants you to fellowship. So, be sure to make prayer a priority each step along the way. If you’re not sure why it's important to find a church, check out what the Bible says about church attendance.

What are my beliefs?

It’s important to understand the doctrinal beliefs of any church before joining. Before joining be sure the church effectively teaches the Bible. At Heritage, we believe that every Scripture passage is inspired by God. Read more about our beliefs at "About Us - What We Believe."

What ministries are offered?

You want your church to be a place where you can connect with other believers. At Heritage, you will find a variety of ministries and programs for service, fellowship, and growth. Feel free to browse the "Ministries" section of our web site.
