Gerry Calavetinos - Sunday School (Juniors)

Gerry Calavetinos

I was born in Orange County, Virginia but my family moved to Spotsylvania County shorty after my birth on July 23 (many years ago). I grew up along with one sister and three brothers in Spotsylvania and attended Spotsylvaniaa County Schools. I have been married over twenty-five wonderful years to Johnny Calavetinos. I have two daughters, a son-in-law, four stepchildren, and Johnny and I share and love ten grandchildren.

I have always loved attending church and when I was a teen would attend wherever my transportation would take me. I was saved at the age of eighteen. I became a part of the Heritage Church family at the inception of the church twenty-five years ago and presently teach the Junior Sunday School Class. I am honored to serve in this way and learn of His will and His ways along with my students.

I am not a perfect Christian but I serve a perfect Savior and I am so thankful for His love and compassion He has shown me over the years. He has been my strength through the highs and lows of my life. He is the greatest friend I will ever have.

I invite all my friends and family to worship with me in a church that truly honors our Lord.

Where should I serve?

Prayer is vital. As you seek the Lord’s direction, he will give you wisdom to know where he wants you to fellowship. So, be sure to make prayer a priority each step along the way. If you’re not sure why it's important to find a church, check out what the Bible says about church attendance.

What are my beliefs?

It’s important to understand the doctrinal beliefs of any church before joining. Before joining be sure the church effectively teaches the Bible. At Heritage, we believe that every Scripture passage is inspired by God. Read more about our beliefs at "About Us - What We Believe."

What ministries are offered?

You want your church to be a place where you can connect with other believers. At Heritage, you will find a variety of ministries and programs for service, fellowship, and growth. Feel free to browse the "Ministries" section of our web site.
