Joe Moran - Deacon

Joe Moran

I was born April 17, 1946 in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. I really don't remember much about Philadelphia as my parents moved to Virginia when I was very young. I have lived in Spotsylvania County most of my life, although I did finish school at C. T. Smith in Caroline County.

In high school, I met the one who became my dear wife, Virginia. I really thank God for bringing her into my life. Married for thirty-nine years; we have three children, eight grandchildren, and a wonderfully blessed marriage.

I love sports (Redskins), and old cars. I enjoy both working on the cars and looking at them. Virginia and I love going to the car shows, and game night with the kids is fun.

I was saved in 1995 and we came to Heritage the following year. I was ordained as deacon in March 2000. Heritage has been such a blessing for my family. Being saved late in life has not only made me thankful to God for saving me, but also has given me the desire to serve the LORD in any way He wants for all the time I have left.

Where should I serve?

Prayer is vital. As you seek the Lord’s direction, he will give you wisdom to know where he wants you to fellowship. So, be sure to make prayer a priority each step along the way. If you’re not sure why it's important to find a church, check out what the Bible says about church attendance.

What are my beliefs?

It’s important to understand the doctrinal beliefs of any church before joining. Before joining be sure the church effectively teaches the Bible. At Heritage, we believe that every Scripture passage is inspired by God. Read more about our beliefs at "About Us - What We Believe."

What ministries are offered?

You want your church to be a place where you can connect with other believers. At Heritage, you will find a variety of ministries and programs for service, fellowship, and growth. Feel free to browse the "Ministries" section of our web site.
